Tim Clark: The Modern Beach House

This is my second post on my new favorite designer, Tim Clark.  He is the designer for the 2010 Ultimate Beach House by Coastal Living (be sure to check out my post for this home) and I felt that there is still more to share with you about his gorgeous art of designing. 

Tim Clark states:

When designing a modern home, the tendency is to create stark, minimalist, monochromatic interiors that may look great in a photograph, but are in reality deeply uncomfortable to live in. Native Woods uses building materials rooted in nature, and personal objects and furnishings that evoke a sense of place and history, all the while never forgetting that a home must be designed in concert with nature, and with the style of architecture and culture in which it sits. Native Woods homes often refer to Asian aesthetics and contemporary design , but are always comfortable, relaxed and graceful—as all homes should be. Native Woods, at its essence, is about thinking locally, while keeping a global perspective.
