Inspiration: Cougar Town Set

Friends have approached me recently and said that I needed to watch Cougar Town because they knew I would love the set design and guess what folks......they were right!  I decided to do a little research about the show and found tons of photos on ABC and at Shorely Chic.  What I love, is that the series takes place in a fictional town, Gulf Haven, in Sarasota, Florida.  If you've ever been to Sarasota you know how gorgeous it is and the beaches are magnificent! With that said, the designers did an excellent job mixing solid and patterned fabrics, along with wicker and bamboo chairs and other beach house accessories.  The set really makes you feel like it's a coastal home and you can get tons of decorating ideas from it.

The decor in this show reminds me of the HGTV Dream Home 2008 that I visited in Key Largo, Florida with my mother.  Compare the two and you will see what I'm talking about. The sofa in Cougar Town and the Dream Home are both coral and there's also other pattered fabrics mixed in.  Beautiful!

I guess I will tune in next Wednesday while I'm baking for Thanksgiving!

I love the coral prints!  I have a pair similar to these, too.

The clear glass lamp with shells inside is gorgeous!  Here's the coral sofa with floral printed pillows.

This stairwell is similar to the one in the HGTV Dream Home.  Bamboo shades are always great.

Years ago, I searched and searched for a bamboo hat rack.  I wonder where they got this one?

I always love a white kitchen!

I love the artwork on the wall.
